Uplighting has become very popular over the last decade, because of how dramatic it can change the ambiance of a ballroom.
Lighting does vary from company to company because there are so many options available. Â We chose not to cut corners on uplighting. We know how important and how dramatic lighting can impact the evening.
Lighting is something you should consider carefully because it will be captured in all your photos and videos.
Complete Lighting Designs
There are typically 4 different lighting techniques that are incorporated into a complete lighting design. Pinspots to accent centerpieces, cake and dessert stations. Monograms that can be displayed on floors or walls. Intelligent Lighting for romantic first dances, and dance party lighting. Then of course uplighting, which is also known as perimeter lighting, because its placed along the outer walls or architectural features.
We call this design an Architectural Design or "Wow" Lighting for short.
It all starts with your vision. From there we determine the size of the room, the height of the ceilings, and the architectural features.
We also take into account what other added features such as monograms, pinspots and if intelligent lighting is needed.
Some people prefer a classic architectural lighting design and others prefer "Wow" type of lighting, which do you prefer? The picture above is "Wow" lighting, while the picture below is very subtle architectural lighting design.

Past Lighting Designs
Pricing for UpLighting
Every UpLighting Design is Different. Do you want simple accent lighting, or "Wow" lighting. Is your ballroom large or is it small. Are there lots of windows, or architectural features, like columns and fireplaces.
These are all features that we factor into our price. For large ballrooms with "Wow" Lighting you can expect to pay about $1295.00 for one of our lighting designs with a few exceptions.
If you have a small ballroom and you're looking for a simple accent design, you can expect to pay about $300.
Most uplighting designs will be priced between $300 to $1295.00. Combined with Pinspots, Intelligent Lighting and Monograms, from $1500 to $4000 for a complete lighting design.
We will provide you with a personalized quote for your lighting design but at least you'll have an idea what questions we'll ask you and a better idea of what to expect in terms of pricing.
